San Francisco offers a unique marketing environment for the teams entered in the Progressive Automotive X Prize Competition. Our citizens have historically been in the vanguard of the global environmental movement and the city itself is one of the premier global tourist destinations. Our famously scenic hills create a particularly rugged driving environment in which vehicles operate. The hard use they endure challenges the durability of any vehicle. If a teams vehicle engineering specifications are able to meet this challenge, we will endorse it for a group of San Franciscans promoting alternative vehicles.
The city of San Francisco is also rich in photo ops and developers advertising cost would be reduced with a few good photos in place. The success of a Progressive Automotive X Prize Race in San Francisco can be applied to the transportation industry nationwide, as fleet managers across the U.S. see the race results and know that “if it works in San Francisco, it will work for me.”
In sum, we offer one of the best possible Host City sites for the Progressive Automotive X Prize Competition, while you and your teams are offering road safe and ultra-low emissions vehicles for our city. We are committed to your success and hope to see you all in San Francisco.
